Aldridge 2's 10, Spartans 3's 5

Aldridge competed well up front with an experienced pack who were a good contest for our forwards. The backs had a 2 or 3 chances to score and wasted the chances as Aldridge did enough to hold on in the first half being 3 -0 in the lead.

Second half was all Spartans again, the pack made a few changes with John Williams joining the pack and the change was noticeable. Spartans were now dominant up front. An attempted try from Steve Antill was disallowed for being held up over the line and another chance also went begging only for 2 forward passes with just the winger to beat.

A drive over the line by the forwards and a try from inform Mike Tiger Long made the score 3-5. Aldridge came back and capitalised from the ball being lost in the tackle by the Spartans centre for Aldridge to snatch the win against the possession 10-5.
